Job summary

Redapt seeks a Senior AWS IoT Architect to join our Cloud Solutions team. You will build and operate secure, multi-tenant IoT platforms on AWS, connecting embedded Linux devices to cloud services and deploying generative AI solutions with Bedrock.

You will work with cloud, embedded, and hardware teams across provisioning, OTA updates, and fleet operations, delivering reliable solutions and validating them on simulated fleets and development boards.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IoT, embedded software, cloud engineering, or related roles.
• Demonstrated delivery of AWS-connected device solutions spanning embedded Linux development, secure device lifecycle management, cloud integration, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS IoT Core solutions for device onboarding, connectivity, identity, fleet management, and tenant isolation.
• Develop AWS IoT Greengrass v2 components, recipes, and deployments for resource-constrained devices with proper state-management.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI applications using Amazon Bedrock foundation models and AWS services.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions using Bedrock Knowledge Bases or custom pipelines, including embeddings and vector stores.
• Implement AI agents and tool integrations with schema validation and controlled execution.
• Develop prompts and structured extraction workflows for document understanding and business process automation.
• Build Python services and APIs that integrate AI with customer applications and data sources.
• Create evaluation datasets and automated tests to measure accuracy and grounding.
• Implement layered AI safeguards with Bedrock Guardrails, IAM, encryption, and access controls.
• Build on-device agents in Python and C/C++ for embedded Linux, Yocto images, and cross-compile for Arm.
• Implement secure OTA pipelines with manifests signed by KMS/Signer and controlled rollouts.
• Manage static/dynamic thing groups and AWS IoT Jobs for fleet deployment.
• Build MQTT telemetry pipelines and IoT rules routing data to S3.
• Test at fleet scale with simulators and real boards; diagnose connectivity and update issues.
• Apply device security practices including secure boot and hardware-backed keys.
