Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an accounting professional for AWS Supply Chain Accounting. The role emphasizes ownership of accounting tasks, end-to-end processes, and collaboration with finance, tax, and IT to optimize supply chain performance.

You will support reporting, improve controls, and drive automation while contributing to cost efficiency and continuity of supply. A strong analytics background and a proactive mindset are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of Tableau
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Responsibilities

• Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
• End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
• Operate accounting closing and reporting cycles.
• Understand internal control design concepts to assess controls and design new processes.
• Escalating risks and issues as necessary to leadership.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to implement process improvement and drive automation.
• Work with business, finance, tax, trade compliance and IT groups.
