Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a finance professional to support AWS Data Center accounting and reporting. You will own end-to-end Capex and Opex processes, assess internal controls, and drive improvements within a collaborative finance team.

The role requires 3+ years in finance, a bachelor’s in accounting, and strong GAAP knowledge. CPA and Fortune 500 experience are preferred, with opportunities across multiple Accounting groups.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Experience with GAAP and financial reporting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Supporting AWS Data Center accounting and reporting process.
• End-to-end process ownership on Capex and Opex to support finance and business partners.
• Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls and design new processes.
• Execute judgments to keep projects moving and close books monthly.
• Escalating risks and issues to leadership when necessary.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to drive change.
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
• Enhance partnerships between Accounting and IT groups.
• Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
