Job summary

Amazon is seeking a financially savvy accounting professional to join our Boston team. You will support AWS Data Center accounting and reporting, owning end-to-end Capex and Opex processes to back finance partners and business teams.

You will assess internal controls, drive monthly close decisions, escalate risks to leadership, and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency. This role offers growth within Amazon's expansive accounting organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supporting AWS Data Center accounting and reporting process.
• End-to-end process ownership on Capex and Opex to support finance and business partners.
• Understand internal control design concepts to assess control effectiveness and design new processes.
• Execute judgments to keep projects moving and close the books each month.
• Escalate risks and issues to leadership.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to drive positive change.
• Lead delivery of accounting tasks and projects.
• Enhance partnerships between Accounting and business/IT groups.
• Research, conclude and memorialize technical accounting position papers.
