Sompo seeks an AVP, Product and Regulatory Counsel to support North America Insurance P&C underwriting teams in Morristown, NJ and other eligible offices. You will draft policy forms, advise underwriters on terms, and assist with regulatory filings and compliance.

The role requires a JD and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong writing, analytical, and communication skills. Collaboration across underwriting, claims, risk, actuarial, and legal teams is essential.

Formación

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant insurance experience.
• Knowledge of ISO, AAIS and/or NCCI Products preferred.
• Outstanding legal writing skills; a writing sample may be requested.
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsabilidades

• Draft property and casualty policy forms and endorsements.
• Advise underwriters on policy terms, coverage issues and legal matters.
• Negotiate product coverage terms with underwriters.
• Review and approve NDAs and warranty statements.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, risk, actuarial, legal, marketing and regulatory teams.
• Provide regulatory and compliance support for products.
• Identify opportunities to improve team processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
