Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an AVP, Counsel to join its Legal team in North America. The role provides holistic legal support to the insurance business units, including litigation-related guidance and strategic oversight.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., bar admission, and 7+ years in a major law firm with insurance exposure. The position involves collaboration with underwriting, operations, and other departments to align on goals and initiatives.

Formación

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admitted to practice in at least one state.
• At least 7 years in a major law firm with exposure to insurance work.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with underwriting to help the business unit meet annual goals and objectives.
• Advise on structuring business relationships, new product development, marketing efforts and other activities.
• Work with underwriting, reinsurance, marketing, claims, finance, tax, technology and HR as appropriate.
• Provide legal counsel on the activities of specified insurance units, claims, and client groups.
• Support acquisitions and strategic investments with due diligence and guidance.
• Develop and implement initiatives to reduce legal exposure and improve department efficiency.
• Oversee and coordinate with outside counsel to ensure high-quality pleadings, briefs, and strategy.
• Contribute timely input to senior leadership for quarterly legal reports and KPIs.
