Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in relevant field.
• At least 8 years in progressive leadership in economic development, tech transfer, or innovation ecosystems.
• Experience at an R1 university, major research organization, or corporate R&D.
• Experience managing federally funded innovation or economic development programs.
• Experience with start-up and technology transfer ecosystems.
• Expertise in research commercialization and IP strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for the Office of Economic Development and Innovation.
• Develop strategic initiatives that enhance impact in innovation, research translation, entrepreneurship, and regional economic development.
• Advise leadership on priorities, policy development, and resource allocation.
• Lead multi-year planning for innovation capacity-building and industry engagement.
