Nationwide seeks an Associate Vice President, Contingent Liability Legal – P&C to provide strategic leadership for significant contingent-liability matters, including bad-faith, extra-contractual exposure, and complex coverage disputes. This role partners with Claims, Finance, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Compliance to align litigation risk with enterprise objectives.

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in state(s) with good standing.
• Ten to 15 years of relevant P&C insurance litigation experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide executive oversight of contingent-liability portfolio and significant litigation risk.
• Direct legal strategy for bad-faith, extra-contractual, and coverage disputes.
• Oversee outside counsel management, budgets, and retention terms.
• Lead and develop Counsels; promote accountability and collaboration.
• Establish governance standards and escalation protocols across teams.
