Job summary

State Street is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Balance Sheet & NII Forecasting in Boston. You will own the liability-side forecasting process, producing balance sheet and NII forecasts, and work with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and business teams to deliver actionable insights that influence performance and risk management.

The role requires 3-5+ years in financial services, QRM experience, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in financial services, with Treasury, ALM, balance sheet management, forecasting, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with QRM or similar asset liability management and forecasting platforms required.
• Strong ability to analyze complex financial information and drive process improvements.
• Understanding of banking products, financial markets, and regulatory environment affecting balance sheet management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data analytics and automation tools preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly liability-side of balance sheet and NII forecasting using QRM with inputs from business units.
• Analyze drivers of forecast performance, variances, and alignment with strategic plans.
• Develop analyses and recommendations for balance sheet management, funding, hedging, and capital allocation.
• Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, and business units to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations for senior management and governance forums.
• Support quarterly earnings processes by analyzing actuals and forecasting accuracy.
• Enhance forecasting methodologies, models, and reporting processes for transparency and efficiency.
• Respond to ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives with timely recommendations.
• Foster relationships across functions to balance strategic objectives and risk.
