Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation seeks an AVP for the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) to manage the CECL estimate process. You will ensure data completeness, configure calculation tools, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.

You will review qualitative/quantitative factors, lead ACL package compilations, and coordinate with auditors and regulators while mentoring team members in ACL practices.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience and/or educational background in Accounting, Statistics, Math, Finance, Programming and Systems, Economics, Data Analytics, and Modeling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare documentation, reports, and lead presentations.
• Experience with data research and problem-solving; ASC 326 knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ACL process data movement, reconciliations, and inputs.
• Review variance analysis, waterfalls, and model inputs with stakeholders.
• Prepare SEC reporting disclosures and management/internal reports.
• Lead ACL packages and ACL committee communications.
• Train and supervise others using the ACL solution.
• Support external auditors and regulators with required reports.
