Job summary

Rocket Lab, a leader in space systems, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer I – Avionics & Test in California. You will debug electro‑mechanical systems, optimize manufacturing processes, and partner with design teams to ensure robust design for manufacture at scale.

Base pay for CA ranges from $100,000 to $155,000 USD annually. In addition to base pay, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package and potential equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or similar.
• 5+ years of technical experience in Manufacturing/Production/Process Engineering.
• Hands-on engineering experience debugging electro‑mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with data acquisition and analyses.
• Ability to manage multiple complex assignments autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies and R&D projects in manufacturing technology.
• Partner with Design Engineering teams to ensure manufacturability at scale.
• Engineer and deliver factory setups – design, procure, install, validate assembly, test and verification processes.
• Support development builds to accelerate ramp‑up and learnings.
• Own production lines to remove blockers and improve yield and build efficiency.
