Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Sr. Hardware Test Engineer to join the avionics team. You will define test methods for verification, develop automated test stations, and execute design verification tests on spacecraft avionics LRUs.

The role requires 7+ years hardware design and validation, experience with RF lab equipment, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality spaceflight hardware. Export-control compliance applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering.
• Experience debugging hardware and understanding computer architecture.
• Experience planning and executing test campaigns for electronics (Design Verification, Qualification, Environmental Test).
• Experience defining test requirements for complex electronic systems.
• 7+ years hardware design and validation experience.
• Experience with analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design using ECAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Define test method requirements for design verification and qualification campaigns.
• Develop test methods and automated test stations for labs and production.
• Execute design verification tests on complex avionics used for space vehicles.
• Influence product design for manufacturing and test efficiency (DFM, DFT).
• Provide training and improve work instructions for liaison engineers.
• Maintain test station documentation including troubleshooting guides and work instructions.
• Improve test stability and data quality.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing to ensure high-quality space flight hardware.
• Lead test rack commissioning for new production test stations or upgrades.
• Work with liaison engineers to troubleshoot and repair test setups.
• Develop reporting tools on manufacturing KPIs.
