Aversan Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer in California to lead verification and validation of safety-critical embedded flight software. The role focuses on regression testing, automation, and transitioning tests from virtual to hardware test benches.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with Python, DO-178C processes, and SITL/HITL environments, plus strong leadership to guide fellow test engineers.

Formación

• B.Sc. in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12+ years of integration and testing experience in aerospace or safety-critical environments.
• Strong Python development and test automation experience.
• Extensive DO-178C verification experience in practice.
• Experience with SITL/HITL environments and test benches.

Responsabilidades

• Verify and validate safety-critical embedded flight software with focus on regression testing and automation.
• Translate requirements to test cases and automated Python scripts for functional and edge-case testing.
• Develop and maintain Python-based test automation and code-coverage tools.
• Execute and troubleshoot tests in SITL/HITL environments and on hardware test benches.
• Mentor engineers and ensure traceability and compliance with DO-178C processes.
