Job summary

Sierra Space is hiring an Avionics Technician IV in Colorado to install, inspect, test, and repair avionics systems for aerospace vehicles. You will fabricate fixtures, perform advanced cleaning, and follow strict 5S/ESD practices to ensure reliability and mission readiness.

Expected to lead a work center SME, collaborate with Test Engineers, and contribute to test setups while documenting issues and maintaining timelines.

Qualifications

• Typically 8+ years related experience.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with avionics testing equipment.
• Knowledge of RF principles in avionics.
• Soldering and crimping experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment.
• Fabricate fixtures using precision tools for non-flight parts.
• Perform advanced cleaning and chemistry processes.
• Adhere to 5S, FOD, and ESD practices in daily tasks.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers on test setup and procedures.
• Document issues found during inspections and tests.
• Specialize in two of three test work centers.
