Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking an Avionics Technician III to install, inspect, test, and repair avionics systems for our aerospace vehicles at our Englewood facility. This advanced role emphasizes precision, fixture fabrication, and strict shop practices.

You will work with measurement tools, perform cleaning and chemistry processes, and uphold 5S, FOD, and ESD standards while meeting project timelines. Minimum 5+ years in avionics with PPE proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Formal training or degree in avionics/electronics or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of related experience and PPE/shop safety familiarity.
• Ability to learn precision cleaning and chemistry processes.
• Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems.
• Perform equipment setup, maintenance, and fabricate fixtures for non-flight parts.
• Use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures with standard alloys.
• Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD practices and ensure proper packaging of hardware.
• Document issues and discrepancies found during inspections and tests.
