Job summary

Shield AI is expanding its Avionics Engineering group to develop the V-BAT aircraft's flight-critical, custom avionics system. The Avionics Technician supports the electrical team across design, verification, procurement, manufacturing, and testing of V-BAT electrical systems and circuit boards.

The role requires 6+ years in an electrical engineering setting, bench testing with EE tools, and hands-on fabrication/design of harnesses and boards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in an electrical engineering lab or equivalent.
• Benchtop testing experience with basic EE equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, electronic load, thermal chamber).
• Ability to design basic test fixtures.
• Ability to fabricate wire harnesses from engineering drawings.
• Potential to design basic wire harnesses or simple circuit boards.
• Ability to rework circuit boards down to 0402 parts.
• Proficient reading and interpretation of schematics.
• Experience on multidisciplinary hardware development projects.
• Demonstrated ownership of project outcomes and reliable teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support Avionics team across design, verification, procurement, manufacturing and test.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to design and verify V-BAT electrical systems and circuits.
• Perform bench tests, troubleshooting and documentation of hardware.
