Job summary

SEGULA Technologies, on assignment to Airbus in America, seeks an avionics technician for a temporary contract. You will work under an assigned lead, reading blueprints and service manuals to fabricate and repair aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer specs.

A minimum of six years on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft, is required. A current A&P license is a plus; candidates must read, write and speak English.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) years of avionics experience on aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
  • Able to read blueprints, sketches and diagrams and apply shop practices.
  • Current A&P license is a plus; must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain close working relationship with the assigned lead on schedules, priorities, and instructions.
  • Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals to meet specifications.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test gear.
  • Ensure completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements and company specs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams for fabrication and repair of aircraft structures.

Job description

  • Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.
  • Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements.
  • Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments.
  • Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience working on avionics in aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs.
  • Current A&P license is a plus
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
