Job summary

GE Aerospace in Grand Rapids is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer within the Advanced Technology Avionics organization to design, integrate, and verify complex hardware and software to meet customer requirements. You will lead cross‑functional teams and support Bids & Proposals across advanced avionics programs.

The role requires 8+ years of architecture experience, U.S. citizenship, DoD clearance eligibility, and willingness to relocate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of experience developing system architectures from customer requirements.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, create and optimize systems spanning concept to production to operation.
• Integrate software and hardware for performance, cost, quality, and interoperability.
• Drive system validation and verification, and interface management.
• Support Bids & Proposals (B&P) activities for avionics programs.
• Report technical status to senior leadership and assist in roadmaps.
