Job summary

GE Aerospace in Grand Rapids is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead cross-functional architecture from concept to production. You will govern requirements, design trade studies, and ensure integration across software and hardware with DoD clearance in place.

The role blends onsite presence 2–3 days per week with a hybrid work model, and relocation support is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience developing system architectures from customer requirements.
• Citizenship and DoD security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• System integration: design, develop and integrate software and hardware.
• Gather requirements and translate to system specifications across hardware/software teams.
• Drive validation and verification activities for the product/system.
• Manage interfaces between components and other systems.
• Proactively identify and abate technical risks.
• Maintain the configuration management system for the product.
• Develop domain expertise to enable holistic architectural solutions.
• Collaborate with PM/EPM and customer throughout the project.
