Job summary

GE Aerospace, based in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a senior project manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex flight management computing systems. Hybrid work with in-office presence Tue–Thu; relocation package available.

You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk, ensuring technical excellence, schedule adherence, and budget control for critical avionics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management or integrated product development leadership in aerospace or avionics.
• Experience leading complex software/hardware development projects for flight management systems.
• Knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and lead diverse teams.
• Proficiency with Jira and MS Project; familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of flight management computing systems projects from concept through deployment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and GE processes.
• Collaborate with product management, systems engineering, software/hardware teams for seamless execution.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Manage external vendor relationships and deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management practices.
