Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance, or clearance active within the past 2 years.
• U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident/current Green Card holder, or lawfully admitted refugee or person granted asylum in the U.S.
• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of industry experience developing avionics systems
• Must reside in Seattle or be willing to relocate upon acceptance of offer
• NSA Type 1 encryption device expertise, TEMPEST/EMSEC requirements, and CNSSI 1253/NIST 800-53 controls are highly desirable
• Experience interfacing with NSA, COMSEC custodians, or CCI handling is a plus
• Space environment design expertise, including radiation effects, SEU mitigation, and CCSDS protocols is a plus
• Proficiency with Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, LTspice, and MS Visio is expected
• Experience with Python scripting is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in Command and Data Handling system architecture, trade studies, and concept development with integrated cryptographic and cybersecurity features
• Develop work from requirements through operations support
• Translate system data handling and security requirements into subsystem- and component-level specifications
• Own verification and validation planning
• Partner with integration and test teams to validate data handling and encryption hardware against requirements
• Participate in design reviews
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware development teams
