Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking an Avionics Software Test Engineer in Tustin to verify safety-critical software using Python-based test development. You will translate requirements into test cases, review scripts, and help build out the regression suite.

The role requires DO-178 or similar safety-critical program experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to onboard quickly while coaching the team in test development.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
• Experience with DO-178 or similar safety-critical programs.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into Python-based test cases and scripts.
• Review and approve test cases and scripts to build the regression suite.
• Maintain established software test verification processes.
• Coach the team and resolve technical issues.
• Onboard quickly and demonstrate proficiency in Python-based test development.
• Work with SITL and HITL environments to clear the testing backlog.
