Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Avionics Production Manager to lead a high-performing team through the full hardware lifecycle. You will drive manufacturing, assembly, and vehicle integration of flight hardware, including wire harnessing, PCBAs, avionics box builds, and final integration on flight vehicles.

The role requires 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing or design and 5+ years in direct supervision, with strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing or design with wire harnessing, PCBAs, EEE parts, and electromechanical assemblies.
• 5+ years of direct supervisory experience leading engineers and technicians.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and production staff.
• Manage daily production tasks, adjust workflows, and balance priorities to meet timelines.
• Collaborate with Avionics Leadership to align goals with program milestones.
• Oversee engineering procedures, review drawings, and ensure aerospace standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis and cross-functional teams to close non-conformances.
• Develop and improve production processes to optimize efficiency.
• Manage budgets, forecast staffing, and justify capital equipment purchases.
• Partner with supply chain to resolve procurement constraints and inventory bottlenecks.
