Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an avionics lead/lead technician in Englewood, CO, to perform continuity, power/ground checks, configurations, and calibrations for avionics and medical equipment, while directing personnel and ensuring safety.

You will troubleshoot complex discrepancies, operate avionics test equipment, and manage work orders, with FAA cert considerations and potential supervisory duties. Excellent teamwork and adherence to DOT/FAA rules are essential.

Qualifications

• Two year certificate or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated general aviation avionics installation and troubleshooting.
• FAA-related certifications or eligibility preferred.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Proficient with avionics test equipment and related software.

Responsibilities

• Define and coordinate department requirements based on workload and schedules.
• Coordinate and prioritize workflow based on schedule commitments.
• Review drawings for clarity and manufacturing interpretation.
• Review manpower requirements.
• Initiate activities associated with personnel status changes.
• Ensure that direct reports are adequately trained and capable of performing their duties.
• Ensure and maintain a safe work environment.
• Participate in weekly program status meetings.
• Provide hours and materials estimates for proposals.
• Coordinate and communicate with other manufacturing departments, Engineering, and Production Control.
• Other Duties as assigned.
