Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services is seeking an Avionics Lead to guide a team of technicians in inspecting, testing, and repairing aircraft avionics systems. You will ensure work meets safety and regulatory standards while coordinating with supervision and control to keep projects on track.

The position offers 24/7 shift coverage with days, evenings, weekends, and 12-hour schedules; overtime may be required. Strong leadership and avionics troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of aircraft avionics experience, including troubleshooting and system installation.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, technical data, and company policies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and Production Control to communicate work progress.
• Estimate parts, materials, and tooling for maintenance on non-preplanned documents within scope.
• Execute maintenance on avionics systems (radar, radio, navigation, autopilot, compass) and verify workmanship.
• Inspect components for defects, test equipment under operating conditions, and adjust or replace as needed.
• Calibrate equipment to specifications and document training. Enforce safety and quality standards.
