Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Avionics Lead to guide an electrical design and integration team in Tucson. The role focuses on leading design, procurement, test and integration of circuit cards across analog, digital, and power domains within the AEWR/AEGS context.

You will mentor peers and collaborate with government customers. Experience leading an engineering team in a defense environment is essential, with a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in analog, digital, and power electronics design and production support.
• Experience in requirement development, validation, and hardware design.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to lead large, complex trade studies.
• Experience with missile-like systems or similar domains.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical, cost, and schedule execution.
• Maintain technical integrity of electronics and the TDP with Test Equipment.
• Manage design, verification, and hardware procurement costs.
• Manage technical risk for electronics and oversee failure investigations.
• Support component-level design reviews and customer engagements.
