Job summary

Reliable Robotics is seeking a Sr Electronics Design Engineer to join our Avionics Hardware Development Team in Mountain View, CA or Seattle, WA. You will lead end-to-end hardware development for airborne systems, from circuit-board design to integrated electromechanical assemblies, with hands-on testing and iterative improvement.

The role demands a strong background in electrical engineering, 5+ years of hardware development, and expertise with Altium Designer and SPICE.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of full-lifecycle hardware development experience in a professional environment.
Experience developing and simulating complex and manufacturable printed circuit board assemblies using tools such as Altium Designer and SPICE.
Ability to work within a team, including excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to methodically diagnose, document, and solve electronic hardware problems.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, document, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies at the circuit board through integrated electro-mechanical level.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing and test engineers as the expert on your hardware.
Drive hardware design improvements through benchtop, environmental, and on-aircraft testing.
Perform root-cause investigations to characterize, document, and rectify anomalous behavior in a safety-critical environment.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the team's development processes and practices through technical leadership.
