Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Defense, Space and Security entity, seeks a Senior Manager for Avionics Engineering to lead the hardware team. You will drive technical strategy, resource planning, and performance against schedules and budgets for national security space programs.

The role requires senior-level experience in avionics design, spacecraft systems, and leadership, with on-site work in California. A U.S. Top Secret clearance is preferred/required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 14 years engineering experience in aerospace/defense.
• 4 years as a functional manager or lead role.
• Experience leading spacecraft avionics teams.
• Knowledge of satellite systems and components.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Communication & Strategic Alignment: set direction and KPIs for engineering teams.
• Program Execution & Technical Oversight: supervise schedules, staffing, and baselines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: align tools and processes across teams.
