Job summary

EVONA in Los Angeles leads an established Electrical Engineering team focused on avionics for a bleeding-edge spacecraft development. You will design, develop, integrate, and test high-performance avionics and electrical systems including harnessing, batteries, sensors, and flight computers on demanding timelines.

Responsibilities cover hands-on prototyping, RF and power systems, and collaborating on design reviews to ensure technical excellence and mission success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science (required).
  • 5+ years designing complex electrical and/or control systems in harsh environments.
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture, layout, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, build, and test avionics systems for spacecraft.
  • Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and testing of avionics and electrical systems.
  • Drive rapid execution and iteration to put hardware in orbit quickly.
  • Design systems meeting company and mission goals and provide new capabilities for in-space economy.
  • Negotiate requirements and propose alternative solutions.
  • Implement test plans aligned with mission risk posture and own test campaigns.
  • Conduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with emphasis on technical excellence.
