Job summary

EVONA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their space-focused hardware team in Los Angeles. You will design, build, and test electronic hardware and systems for space-bound hardware, spanning from schematic capture to flight-ready boards and integration in a hands-on lab environment.

You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with a small expert team and supporting the Chief Engineer on next-generation mission hardware architectures.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with hands-on design and lab work.
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design skills.
  • Experience with PCB design tools.
  • Proficiency with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomous, high-performance team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop PCBs and electronic assemblies for telescope instruments and satellite subsystems.
  • Create schematics, perform circuit simulation, and lay out boards for flight and engineering model hardware.
  • Design power distribution, regulation, and conversion systems for space-rated hardware.
  • Interface sensors, detectors, and actuators with the digital and software layers.
  • Support integration, testing, and debugging of electronic systems in the lab.
  • Contribute to next-generation mission hardware architecture alongside the chief engineer.
