Job summary

Benchmark Space Systems in Burlington, VT is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Avionics team, designing, building and testing modular propulsion avionics for small satellites. You will translate system requirements into PCB designs and hardware ready for production.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in circuit design, a degree in electrical engineering, and hands-on experience with PCB tools and embedded firmware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering.
• 7+ years of circuit design and PCB layout experience.
• Experience managing design requirement flows and leading design reviews.
• Strong organization and written/verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Person required.

Responsibilities

• Capture and distill system-level requirements into PCB designs with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to define PCB interfaces and layouts.
• Perform bring-up testing to ensure operation across environmental and electrical conditions.
• Generate documentation to enable production technicians to assemble and integrate designs.
• Conduct design reviews of other engineers' designs.
• Other responsibilities as needed to assist in business operations.
• Maintain Benchmark’s reputation for honesty, integrity, accountability and transparency.
