Job summary

Benchmark Space Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Avionics team. You will design, develop, and qualify modular propulsion avionics for small satellites, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust performance across space environments.

You will bring 7+ years of circuit design experience, proficiency in PCB design tools, and firmware experience for ARM Cortex MCUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of circuit design and PCB layout experience.
• Experience managing design requirement flows and leading design reviews.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• U.S. Person needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to distill system requirements into PCB designs.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to define PCB interfaces and layouts.
• Perform bring-up testing to validate designs across environmental/electrical conditions.
• Generate documentation for production assembly and integration.
• Conduct design reviews of other engineers' designs.
• Support additional business operations as needed.
• Maintain Benchmark’s reputation for honesty and accountability.
