Job summary

Benchmark Space Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Avionics team in Burlington, VT. You will design, develop, and qualify modular propulsion avionics systems for next‑generation small satellites, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust product realization.

The role emphasizes hardware design, firmware integration, environmental testing, and rigorous design reviews, with opportunities to influence product direction in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of circuit design and PCB layout experience.
• Experience leading design reviews and managing requirement flows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture and distill system-level requirements into PCB designs.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering to define PCB interfaces and layouts.
• Perform bring-up testing across environmental/electrical conditions.
• Generate documentation for production technicians to assemble and integrate designs.
• Conduct design reviews of other engineers' designs.
• Maintain Benchmark's reputation for honesty, integrity, accountability.
