Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years experience in an avionics/electrical career field.
• 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of experience requirement.
• A&P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates superior technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
• Trainees installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per engineering specs and manuals.
• Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations; troubleshoots and repairs systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring to meet conformity; uses splicing, soldering and pinning techniques.
• Oversees adherence to engineering changes and modifications as required.
• Sets up and operates test equipment; conducts functional and operational tests.
• Maintains daily logs and proper documentation of all work performed on the aircraft.
