Job summary

Cirrus is seeking an A&E Sustaining Engineer to provide engineering support for the SR2X and SF50 fleets. You will evaluate and redesign components based on reliability, cost, weight or safety, and support resolving avionics and electrical issues with FAA compliance.

You will run medium-sized projects coordinating with multiple Cirrus teams and outside vendors. The role requires designing, testing, and validating solutions using lab and flight tests, and documenting results to meet FAR Part 23

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• 4–7 years' experience with general aviation aircraft/avionics preferred.
• Experience with data acquisition systems is desirable.
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and test avionics and electrical systems and equipment.
• Develop requirements and maintain traceability.
• Coordinate design development and system integration with Cirrus and subcontractors.
• Generate reports and test plans to meet FAR Part 23 requirements.
• Troubleshoot software and electrical issues on production and field aircraft.
