Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist the design, integration, and testing of electrical systems for Cirrus aircraft and test benches. You will design power generation and distribution, wire harness architecture, and 3D models, working with avionics and RF data buses.

The role requires 2–4 years in aviation electrical design, proficiency with CREO/Eagle/MATLAB, and strong communication. Travel up to 25% is expected, with a focus on certification under FAR Part 23.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; combination of education and experience acceptable.
  • 2–4 years direct experience in aviation or automotive electrical systems.
  • Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers).
  • Ability to read/write technical documents and present design reviews.
  • Proficient with CREO, MATLAB, Eagle, VBA or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, certify, and support electrical systems such as power generation and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain wiring diagrams and harness architecture to meet requirements.
  • Create electrical assemblies drawings and 3D models for avionics systems.
  • Select electrical components and ensure EMC and routing constraints.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors for design development and integration.
  • Generate certification plans and FAR Part 23 documentation.
  • Travel up to 25% and maintain reliable attendance.
