Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking a Senior Avionics Electrical Engineer to design and test custom circuit boards and other avionics devices for space vehicles. You will collaborate with software, propulsion, and GNC engineers to meet mission requirements.

You will contribute to all phases of spacecraft electronics development, from board design to testing, debugging, and integration onto space vehicles, in a fast-paced environment with ITAR compliance and a strong emphasis on technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic component selection, analysis, simulation, schematics, and layout.
• 5+ years of experience in mixed-signal and analog circuit design including ADC/DAC, opamps, filtering, and signal integrity.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting electronics problems at the board level.
• Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and resolve concerns.

Responsibilities

• Develop circuit boards for spacecraft with emphasis on analog, digital or control electronics.
• Perform analyses and simulations of avionics devices and systems.
• Own hardware design from bring-up and debugging to qualification and flight operations.
• Define hardware interfaces and verify requirements.
• Establish and maintain high technical standards.
• Partner with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing and test teams.
