Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Aviation Electrical/Design Engineer at our U.S. headquarters in the Kansas City area. The role involves ownership of the product design from concept to mass production, including complex embedded systems, high speed interfaces, and sensor technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative electronic products for aviation markets including analog, digital, or RF circuits.
• Lead complex PCB design efforts and ensure robustness and testability across multiple boards.
• May serve as Project Engineer on new designs or major changes to existing designs.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to optimize thermal and space constraints and enable new processors.
• Contribute to design reviews and provide technical input to product development plans and concept documents.
