Job summary

Real Time Consulting (RTC) is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Avionics Display Applications team in Phoenix, AZ. You will contribute to the development, integration, and verification of core Display Apps for the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

The role requires 5+ years of avionics software development, DO-178B/C lifecycle experience, and strong C++ and OO design skills. Knowledge of RTOS safety-critical systems and DOORS is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or related technical area.
• 5+ years Software Development experience for avionics.
• Experience developing software applications for avionics displays.
• Full lifecycle software development experience in accordance with DO-178B/C
• Experience designing software architectures
• Experience with object oriented software design
• Ability to code in C++
• Experience creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements
• Experience with safety critical real time operating systems (RTOS)
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
• Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
• Ability to make autonomous decisions
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional design teams
