Job summary

Real Time Consulting in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to avionics display applications on the Next Generation Avionics Platform. You will work on development, integration, and verification of core Displays Apps.

The role requires a BS in computer/software engineering, 5+ years in avionics software, DO-178B/C lifecycle experience, C++ proficiency, and strong communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a safety-critical context.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, or related technical area.
5+ years Software Development experience for avionics.
Experience developing software applications for avionics displays.
Full lifecycle software development experience in accordance with DO-178B/C.
Experience designing software architectures.
Experience with object oriented software design.
Ability to code in C++.
Experience creating test cases for software based upon use cases derived from the system and software requirements.
Experience with safety critical real time operating systems (RTOS).
Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done.
Ability to make autonomous decisions.
Experience coordinating with cross-functional design teams.
