Job summary

The Weitz Company in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Project Manager with aviation project experience to lead complex construction initiatives and ensure profitable delivery. The role oversees multiple projects, guiding teams toward on-schedule, on-budget outcomes.

You will manage administrative and field activities to high quality standards, build stakeholder relationships, and mentor team members. Relocation to the project site is preferred.

Qualifications

• Industry-related college degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience including project management.
• Experience leading, teaching, developing and mentoring others preferred.
• Experience in managing commercial construction, processing, advanced manufacturing and/or semiconductors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management direction to project teams.
• Ensure project teams implement company policies, procedures and processes.
• Understand and establish contract terms, obligations and budgets; review prime contract terms.
• Oversee risk management and mitigate issues on assigned projects.
• Coordinate with teams to create and manage schedules and scopes of work.
• Ensure safety plans and inspections meet standards; monitor non-conformance logs.
• Manage change orders, subcontracts and purchase orders within authority.
• Produce monthly project status reports and owner billings.
• Lead regular project meetings and drive project closeout on time.
