Job summary

STV is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager - Aviation to join our national aviation team, onsite at Washington, DC. The role focuses on leading cross-functional project activities, budgets, schedules, and regulatory compliance for airport construction projects.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field and at least 15 years’ construction/PM experience, including airport environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or similar.
• Minimum 15 years in construction and/or project management.
• Proven experience in PM or leadership roles.
• Ability to work independently in field environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of technologies and tools used in project delivery.
• Position contingent upon client approval.
• Experience managing construction in active/operational airport environments.

Responsibilities

• Organizes cross-functional activities for project deliverables, schedule, and budget.
• Manages and directs proposal development, initiation, execution/control, and closeout.
• Leads marketing, proposal prep, and presentations for project selection.
• Plans complete project execution and develops the project manual.
• Monitors manpower vs. budget and manages scope, cost, quality, and risk.
• Establishes contractor-client liaison network for progress updates.
• Monitors project from initiation through delivery and updates manpower.
• Forms a project team to coordinate task execution per schedule.
• Submits documents to federal, state, and local authorities for permits.
• Holds regular progress meetings to ensure contract terms and specs are met.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel.
