Job summary

Garmin is seeking a full‑time Aviation Programs Engineer/Manager 1 for its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. You will support concep­tion, development, and application of avionics systems, document change scope, and ensure system compliance with customer requirements.

The role involves coordinating OEM inquiries, leading stakeholder meetings, creating technical documentation, and contributing to program milestones and roadmaps throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field or equivalent experience.
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred with ability to apply knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and debugging.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support OEM inquiries and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
• Develop presentation materials to inform program progress or issues.
• Assist with evaluating technical program requirements and customer inquiries.
• Lead meetings with stakeholders to track milestones and actions.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and cross‑functional planning documents.
• May perform integration testing of interfaces or functionality.
• May coordinate certification questions and related documentation.
