Job summary

C&S Companies is a national planning, design, and construction firm seeking a senior professional to lead airport planning projects, win new work, and manage client relationships across small to large programs at general aviation and commercial service airports.

The role requires strong FAA policy knowledge, environmental planning, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement, with responsibilities ranging from proposal development to staff mentorship and travel across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of related experience in airport planning.
• Knowledge of FAA AIP grant processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
• Leadership experience including business development, aviation industry involvement, project management, and ability to manage and direct others

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of an on-call contract or specific project from identification of opportunities through project close out.
• This includes participating in and developing material for proposals and project interviews, determining scope of work, estimating fees, negotiating contracts, budgeting and cost control, scope and schedule control, staff resource management, and quality control of all assigned projects.
• Serve as primary client contact.
• Lead public and stakeholder participation sessions.
• Coordinate efforts with local, state, regional and federal agencies on behalf of clients.
• Maintain current knowledge of aviation industry services, projects, and trends.
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the United States
• Mentor and coach less experienced staff and contribute to the growth of the Practice on the West Coast in terms of assisting with securing new clients, project types, and staff.
