Job summary

The Blackhawk Group is seeking a Chief Inspector to lead the inspection and regulatory compliance at our Part 145 Repair Station. You will oversee all inspection functions, ensure FAA compliance, and drive continuous improvement within the Quality Management System.

As a principal regulatory authority, you will guide airworthiness determinations, manage audits, and mentor inspectors while coordinating with FAA and customers to uphold the highest standards in maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate is required.
• IA preferred; strong knowledge of Part 145 operations and FAA regulations.
• Experience interpreting FAA regulations and managing inspection programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all inspection functions within the Part 145 Repair Station.
• Develop and revise inspection procedures, checklists, and data flows.
• Lead internal and external audits (FAA, customer, vendor) and drive CAPA actions.
• Coach and develop inspectors; manage staffing and training.
