Job summary

Invenergy LLC seeks an experienced OT systems engineer to own AVEVA PI System administration, data collection, and integration across OT sources. You will manage PI components, automate maintenance, and lead architecture improvements to ensure reliable data for control center operations.

You will collaborate with IT and Operations Engineering, mentor junior staff, and design scalable solutions for complex data challenges in a hybrid work environment in the United States.

Qualifications

• Five+ years administering enterprise-scale AVEVA PI environments including Data Archives, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, PI Vision.
• Proficiency with programming and scripting languages such as .NET, PowerShell, and Python

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for OT systems, focusing on the AVEVA PI System and data integrations.
• Configure and maintain data collection into the AVEVA PI System from OT platforms (SCADA, DCS, RTU, PLC).
• Investigate, evaluate, and integrate complex OT systems with the AVEVA PI System.
• Administer PI System components including PI Data Archive, PI Collectives, AF, Interfaces, Connectors, Adapters, AVEVA Connect, PI Web API, and PI Vision.
• Lead efforts to improve PI System architecture, data integrations, and platform reliability.
• Coordinate with IT and stakeholders for infrastructure upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
• Design scalable workarounds for system limitations.
• Prepare technical/business justifications for modernization and expansion.
• Develop automation for system maintenance and telemetry feeds using Python, PowerShell, and .NET.
• Lead investigation and resolution of PI System issues affecting performance and data availability.
• Maintain technical documentation for implemented solutions and integrations.
• Support Operations Engineering through data pipelines, integrations, and automation.
• Maintain real-time data collection infrastructure in support of control center operations.
• Lead onboarding activities for new project startups, including definitions and configurations.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
