Job summary

Waterfield Tech is seeking a Senior Telephony Engineer, Avaya Aura, to lead hands-on deployment of Avaya Aura and UC solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments for commercial, enterprise, and government customers.

You will own day-to-day delivery, mentor junior engineers, and ensure solutions meet requirements, performance, and security standards while advancing our migration to cloud and CCaaS, with AI-enabled tooling to improve delivery.

Qualifications

8+ years implementing Avaya Aura engagements in medium to large organizations.
Experience with on-premises and cloud Avaya deployments and migrations.
Strong knowledge of SIP, VDN, and CCaaS integration.
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end deployment of Avaya Aura across System Manager, Session Manager, Messaging, SBCE and edge devices.
Own day-to-day technical delivery including configuration, integration, testing, and cutover.
Perform discovery of customer telephony environments and communicate network requirements (DHCP scope options, QoS, split-horizon DNS).
Lead certificate management (CSR generation, Avaya certificates) and licensing via Avaya PLDS.
Support migrations to cloud and CCaaS, including AI-enabled capabilities and integration with CCaaS and AI features.
Contribute to delivery standards and mentor less experienced voice engineers.
