Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Senior AV Technician to lead advanced diagnostics, calibrate sensors, and support vehicle hardware and software deployments. The role emphasizes mentorship, best practices, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

The position includes on-site work, field testing, and opportunities to influence fleet reliability and safety through continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as automotive/EV/AV technician with leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
• Expert diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Hands-on experience with sensor systems (LiDAR, radar, cameras) and computer hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for AV powertrain, braking, suspension, high-voltage, and advanced sensor systems.
• Diagnose, repair, and validate faults in CAN/LIN networks, AV computer hardware, and vehicle control modules.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve recurring technical issues across the fleet.
• Develop and implement technical repair procedures and best practices.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting during on-road and closed-course AV testing.
