Job summary

AVS (Audio Video Systems) in Utah seeks an experienced AV Service Technician for a full-time hybrid role based in South Salt Lake. You will install, configure, maintain, and repair residential and commercial AV and smart home systems, with some remote support.

You’ll work with Control4, Crestron, Lutron, and Savant, troubleshoot networks, document diagnostics, and collaborate with engineering and installation teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation with networking and AV knowledge.
• Experience with AV control platforms (Control4/Crestron/Lutron/Savant).
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to travel and lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair AV and smart home systems on-site and remotely.
• Troubleshoot networks, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, VPN, and remote access.
• Support touch panels, displays, cameras, and IoT devices.
• Document diagnostics and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with engineering, installation, and programming teams.
• Maintain, update firmware and perform reconfigurations.
