Job summary

Experis Technology Group seeks a Senior Autonomous Vehicle Perception Engineer in Dallas, TX to lead perception algorithm development for LiDAR, radar, camera, and sensor fusion. You will architect real-time C++ pipelines for object detection, tracking, and fusion in embedded environments.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of experience in autonomous systems, strong C++11+ skills, and hands-on ROS/ROS2 with DDS.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
4-7 years of experience developing perception systems for autonomous vehicles or robotics platforms.
Expert proficiency in C++ (C++11 or newer) with experience building production-grade, multithreaded Linux applications.
Proven experience with LiDAR point cloud processing, automotive radar processing, image processing, or sensor fusion and object tracking.
Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS or ROS2) and DDS or publish-subscribe messaging architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and deployment of perception algorithms for LiDAR, radar, camera, and sensor fusion across autonomous platforms.
Architect real-time C++ processing pipelines for object detection, classification, tracking, and sensor fusion in embedded environments.
Define sensor selection criteria, integration standards, and validation processes for perception systems.
Drive resolution of complex perception failures through root cause analysis and algorithm refinement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align perception outputs with the broader autonomy architecture.
